Golf is an extremely popular game played all over the world by people of all ages and abilities. The game has a number of qualities including its social aspects, spectacular views, the chance to see wildlife and the chance to do light exercise. There are masses of golf courses to choose from all over the world and below you can read about five of the most popular ones.

Pine Valley Golf Club

Pine Valley Golf Club is located in a private and difficult spot in Clementon, New Jersey.  The course measures a whopping 6,765 yards and has a par of 70. It was first established in 1913 with only 184 acres of land. Over time the club grew in size with an additional 416 acres, and is now said to be one of the finest courses in the world if you manage to find it.

Cypress Point Club 

Cypress Point Club can be found at Pebble Beach, California measuring 6,536 yards with a par of 72. The club is extremely private and has some fantastic rolling fairways overlooking the Pacific Coastline. There are 18 holes varying in difficulty for golfers to get to grips with whilst taking is some of the most spectacular views.

Muirfield Village Golf Club

This Golf Club is located in Gullane, Scotland in the United Kingdom.  It measures 7,221 yards with a par of 72.  This club is actually home to the oldest golfing society in the world, first opening in 1744. The course is a rather demanding one that is able to test the abilities of even the most experienced golfer. It was here that Jack Nicklaus won his first British Open more than 200 years after the course opened.

St. Andrews

St. Andrews is another golf course located in Scotland.  This one, titled ‘The Old Course’ measures 7,279 yards and has a par of 72.  It is probably one of the most famous courses to be played in the world, and has been used since the 15th century. As well as this course St. Andrews also has an 18 hole and a 9 hole course to play as well. If this isn’t enough for you though you can even work on your swing in one of the practice centres.  Whilst playing this course you can take in some of the breath-taking views and dunes by the North Sea.

Pebble Beach Golf Links

Our final golf course can also be located on Pebble Beach, California. This is one of the best known courses in the United States measuring 6,737 yards with a par of 72. The course has some magnificent narrow fairways surrounded by beautiful views of the rocky shores on the Pacific Coast.  The course provides golfers with challenging holes that will test the abilities of all golfers.
